यह कथा श्री कृष्ण की कहानी कहती है, जिसमें यशोदा माया ने उन्हें छड़ी लेने के लिए दौड़ते हुए पाया। जब परमात्मा ने अपनी माता को क्रोधित देखा, तो वह भागने लगे। वे भागते हुए एक कुम्हार के पास पहुँचे, जो की मिट्टी के बर्तन बनाते थे। कुम्हार ने श्री कृष्ण को देखकर बड़े प्रसन्न हुए, क्योंकि उन्होंने जाना कि श्री कृष्ण सच्चे परमेश्वर हैं।
परमात्मा ने कुम्हार से कहा, “कुम्हारजी, आज मेरी माता बहुत क्रोधित हैं, और वह मेरे पीछे आ रही हैं। कृपया मुझे कहीं छुपा दें।”
तब कुम्हार ने श्री कृष्ण को एक बड़े से मटके के नीचे छुपा दिया। कुछ ही क्षणों में, माता यशोदा ने उन्हें खोज लिया और कुम्हार से पूछा, “कुम्हार! क्या तुमने मेरे कन्हैया को कहीं देखा है?”
कुम्हार ने उत्तर दिया, “नहीं, माता! मैंने कन्हैया को नहीं देखा।”
श्री कृष्ण ने ये सब बातें मटके के नीचे छुपकर सुन ली। माता तब वहां से चली गईं। अब परमात्मा श्री कृष्ण ने कुम्हार से कहा, “कुम्हारजी, यदि माता चली गई हैं तो कृपया मुझे इस मटके से बाहर निकालें।”
कुम्हार ने कहा, “अच्छा, परमेश्वर जी! पहले मुझे वचन दो कि आप मेरे परिवार के सभी लोगों को चौरासी लाख योनियों के बंधन से मुक्त करने का वचन देंगे।”
परमात्मा मुस्कुराए और कहा, “ठीक है, मैं तुम्हें और तुम्हारे परिवार के सभी लोगों को चौरासी लाख योनियों से मुक्त करने का वचन देता हूँ। अब मुझे कृपया मटके से बाहर निकाल दो।”
कुम्हार ने कहा, “अब तो आपकी सभी इच्छाएं पूरी हो गई हैं, तो कृपया मुझे मटके से बाहर निकाल दो।”
कुम्हार की भक्ति और देनदारी से प्रसन्न होकर परमात्मा श्री कृष्ण ने मटके से उन्हें बाहर निकाल दिया। वे अपने चरणों में साष्टांग प्रणाम किये और चरणामृत पी लिया। परमात्मा ने उनके पूरे परिवार के लिए चरणामृत का वितरण किया और श्री कृष्ण ने अपने गले में लगाकर इतना रोया कि परमात्मा में ही विलीन हो गए।
इस कथा से हमें यह सिखने को मिलता है कि प्रेम और भक्ति का महत्व कितना महत्वपूर्ण है। कोई भी साधना या पूजा बिना प्रेम और भक्ति के खोखली होती है। परमात्मा केवल वास्तविक प्रेम से ही मिलते हैं, और एक भक्त के प्यार और श्रद्धा के बिना कुछ भी अधूरा है। यह कथा हमें प्रेम की महत्वपूर्ण भावना को समझाती है और हमें यह याद दिलाती है कि हमें अपने दिव्य आदर्शों की ओर बढ़ना चाहिए। जय श्री कृष्ण। जय श्री राधे।

Kanha or Kumhar ki katha This story tells the tale of Lord Sri Krishna when Mother Yashoda was chasing Him to scold Him for mischievous behavior. When the Supreme Lord saw His mother getting angry, He started running away. While running, He reached a potter’s house. The potter was busy making clay pots, but as soon as he saw Lord Krishna, he was filled with joy because he recognized that Sri Krishna was the Supreme God.
The Supreme Lord said to the potter, “O potter, today my mother is very angry with me, and she is coming after me. Please hide me somewhere.”
The potter then hid Lord Krishna under a large clay pot. In a few moments, Mother Yashoda arrived and asked the potter, “Have you seen my Kanhaiya anywhere?”
The potter replied, “No, mother, I haven’t seen Kanhaiya.”
Lord Krishna was listening to all this from under the clay pot. Mother Yashoda eventually left, and then Lord Krishna said to the potter, “If my mother has left, please take me out of this pot.”
The potter responded, “Not so fast, Lord! First, promise me that You will release me and my entire family from the bondage of eighty-four lakh (8.4 million) yonis (life forms).”
The Supreme Lord smiled and agreed, saying, “Alright, I promise to free you and your family from the bondage of eighty-four lakh yonis. Now, please take me out of the pot.”
The potter then said, “Now that all your desires are fulfilled, please release me from this pot.”
With the potter’s devotion and selflessness, Lord Sri Krishna was pleased and allowed the potter to take Him out of the pot. The potter and his family received the Lord’s blessings and were freed from the cycle of births and deaths.
This story teaches us the importance of love and devotion. Any form of worship or practice is empty without genuine love and devotion. The Supreme Lord can be attained only through true love, and without a devotee’s love and faith, everything remains incomplete. This story emphasizes the significance of love and devotion and reminds us to strive towards our divine ideals. Hail Lord Sri Krishna! Hail Sri Radha!
